Dua Lipa Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London on the 22nd of August 1995. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 after she had joined Warner Bros Records. The album climbed up to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released, among them Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British debut act in 2018. The album was rated platinum throughout the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. It is also possible to trace her family tree back in Peja within Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Gjin along with Rina are her twins. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan band Oda.
