Louisa Krause was born in New York City. She is most famous for her role as Anna Garner on the TV show The Girl Experience. Krause played her debut film part in the Babysitters in which she played Brenda Woodberg. Krause was a drama student in college and then appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions. She also appeared in episodes of New York-based network television series. Professionally, her father of half Japanese and American in origin, is the main source of her income. The younger brother Nathaniel is an actor. Her interest in arts was sparked at an early age when she studied dance at the Washington School of Ballet, Washington D.C. She then went on to appear in various musicals and plays by Bill Russell and Henry Krieger such as Side Show. Her choice of Carnegie Mellon Drama School was the first school she chose after having completed the high school. Krause was able to start her acting career right after. In the production Aida was the show in which she got her Equity Card. Louisa Krause's career began in theatre. She appeared in Huntington Theatre Company's production of Iphigenia 2 in 2006. She portrayed Iphigenia in the Signature Theatre Company's Iphigenia 2 production in 2007.
